APEOESP is hosting various organizations, movements, and parties this coming Thursday (26) for a debate on alternatives to confront the far right.

The 1st International Antifascist Conference for the Sovereignty of the Peoples, to be held from March 26 to 29, 2026, in Porto Alegre (RS – Brazil), emerges as an urgent political act of collective resistance against the global advance of the far right and the authoritarian escalation that threatens rights and democracy. Organized by antifascist forces, the conference will be launched with a major street demonstration and will feature various thematic panels developed in a plural and participatory manner, in addition to self-managed activities that empower social movements, youth, and grassroots activists in building concrete alternatives of international solidarity and the fight against fascism.

As part of this process, a pre-conference preparatory event will take place at APEOESP’s headquarters, bringing together parties such as the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), the Partido Socialismo e Liberdade (PSOL), and the Partido Comunista do Brasil (PCdoB); social movements such as the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST); and organizations and unions including the União Nacional dos Estudantes (UNE), UBES, the Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT), ANDES-SN, among many other organizations involved in building the Porto Alegre Conference.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at APEOESP’s central headquarters, located at Praça da República, nº 282, in São Paulo. Everyone is invited!
